Find your UNIQUE SELLING POINT

Here's a super idea that might just give you an advantage over your competitors.

Sit down with your team (or indeed with your Accountant and your team) with a white board. On the board, you write the following:

GIVE ME AS MANY REASONS AS YOU CAN WHY A CUSTOMER SHOULD DEAL WITH US

1 Ask everyone to contribute their answers which you write on the board.

2 When you've finished, go through each point in turn asking whether one of your competitors would say the same thing about themselves.

3 For every 'YES' answer RUB OUT THE POINT

4 If there's absolutely nothing left on the board, you've got a problem. Either you haven't got a uniqueness or you haven't been able to find a way to make people know about it.
